Today I went shopping for a new coat, because I'm going to paris in 3 weeks and I guess I'll be needing it then. I also bought a scarf. I think the scarf is very versatile.

It's nearly October, but suddendly the weather feels like it's August.
So what to do on a sunny day? Picnic with friends!
As you can see we made ourselves comfortable at the green next to our school, to relax a bit.

new in/knitted cardigan



At saturdays, I work from 8 til 16 at the warehouse of de Bijenkorf. De Bijenkorf is a luxury department store. At the warehouse, we especially control the distribution of goods. Working at the warehouse is very heavy, but it's worth it. Because I work at de Bijenkorf, I was invited to attend the special shopping evening previous of the Drie Dwaze Dagen. De Drie Dwaze Dagen, are three days of sale, with low prices of expensive brands. I was only able to shop things, displayed in the folder of thursday. I was'nt really enthousiastic about the clothing, but my mother and I decided to take a look. I did buy something. I've bought a black knitted vest from the de Bijenkorf brand. I think this baby is going to keep me very warm and cosy this winter!

Flop: Adidas performance slippers

I personally thought, no one of my age would dare to wear these flip flops. Well, apparently, someone at my school thought differently about that. Because the guy, I'm talking about, wore them today, in public, including black socks with print. Very ugly, I think!



For the record, he was also wearing sweatpants with it!

It's all about the lists

When it comes to shopping, I always make lists. On these lists, I write all the things I really want to have for next season.  Every season I find it hard to keep myself to the list. Because well, there’re two kinds of shopping I guess. The first is, shopping with a purpose. You’re going on the hunt for a new pair of boots, or that one jacket, you regretted not buying last time. Actually, this kind of shopping is really good for your wallet. You’ve probably thought a while about buying this item and you just really want to own it, so the chance is big that you feel satisfied after finally buying this item. This reduces the chance that, on that same day, you buy something that’s not on your list.
The second kind of shopping, is unscheduled shopping or random shopping. Just out of the blue, you decide to go shopping. Random shopping is bad as well for your  list as for your wallet. It seems like, during random shopping, you always find beautiful things, which make you enormously greedy. So at the end you end up buying beautiful things, but honestly they’re not on your list. And because of that  you’ll feel guilty that you’ve cheated,  so you just add the item, you bought, to your list, which is already growing day by day. This is my theory about how great lists work, how enormously they suck and how you get broke. I’m on the mend and I’m no longer broke. But sometimes I cheat. Tomorrow I’ll publish my list for this season, but I can assure you, this list will be changed frequently and I’ll extend it even more.

Bas for Zeeman

For the first time in many years I went to Zeeman today. Zeeman is a low budget shop, with mostly basic textiles and household goods. I barely ever come at Zeeman, but this time it had to. The famous dutch fashion designer Bas Kosters designed a limited edition under- and nightwear collection for Zeeman. Bas Kosters is known for his childlike prints and extravagant designs. For the prints on his collection, he got inspired by the tattoos of sailors. The design of the underwear is inspired by sportswear of the seventies. All items of the collection are available for the cheap prices we're used of. Below, you can see the pictures Simone took from me and the underwear at Zeeman. I also brought the briefs from the last picture home with me. Because maybe a Bas Kosters, is worth a lot of money in a few years!

Every thursday, I don't have any classes between 12.10 and 13.30.
It has become a habit to go for lunch with friends somewhere, or to just shop a little in the small town of Woerden. When my friend Simone and I saw the advertisement for the temporarily pancake restaurant, we were sold immediately. We made some pictures, because we wanted to share our nostalgia.

I love my yellow Triwa watch, but unfortunately, it doesn't look good with all my outfits. Number 1 on my list is the Michael Kors mk5076. Many fashion bloggers own a Michael Kors, but they're expensive and I'm going to Paris in a few weeks. I've found some other watches, I think  they are pretty amazing as well. What do you think?

La vie en rose, by Liselot

Welcome to my blog! In this first post, I would like to introduce myself.

My name is liselot. I’m a 17 year old highschool student, with a huge passion for fashion.

I’m in my final year now. During my last year it’s required that we make a paper about a subject, which suits you and your profile. I immediately knew, my subject was going to be related to fashion. I’m really interested and fascinated by fashion-blogs and the influence they’ve got, so I decided to investigate fashion-blogging for my paper. And this blog is the beginning. I’ve chosen the name ‘la vie en rose’ because I really like this sentence. In dutch it means ‘het leven door een roze bril zien’. Translating it in to English is a bit more difficult. It’s seeing life through pink glasses, wich means something like, seeing the bright things in life. And fashion is wonderful. Through fashion you can show your true personality and your own style, and I think, that’s what fashion is about, personal style. By using this blog, I want to show how much I love fashion as well as using the blog to investigate the influence of blogging on myself and others. As a newcomer in the blogging-business, I would love to receive comments, hints and tips.
