Sweet Goodbye

Friday is the day.
My highschool project 'La vie en rose' is done and so is this blog.
I'm very satisfied with the results of  La vie en rose. I estimate I've got 4750 pageviews by the time I hand in my project and I think that's a great result. I've really learned a lot from blogging. I've got to know myself better; my style and personality. I started looking at things different and I learned to really make a commitment. Because well, that's actually the most important thing about blogging; making a commitment. Commiting to a project. Not only satisfying yourself with what you're writing, but also entertaining your readers. Staying versatile and original. 

I really want to thank you all for helping me, all of you in another way. By helping me make up new subjects, correcting my English, taking photo's, or just following me. Without my followers, I wouldn't have been able to succeed with this project. Thanks to La vie en rose I was able to show a little bit of myself and write an, in my opinion, great paper. 

I do really want to start blogging again sometime, but under a different name and with a more professional approach.

An evening with Mattijs

An evening with Mattijs.
My first fashionshow, and I've had a hell of a time.
All dressed up, I went to the HMH in Amsterdam together with three friends. It was extremely cold and we were shivering on our high heels combined with tights. Through the snow, we eventually made it safe. We were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco as we arrived in the fashionable environment created for the show. Our places were on the 5th row, which had a wonderfull view on the catwalk. As soon as everybody was seeted, security came, to escort the 'front rowers' to their places. The show started with Aaiko loves Mattijs a/w 2012, afterwards Dutch 'The Voice of Holland' winner Iris Kroes performed, and the show was ended with the Mattijs pret-a-porter collection for a/w 2012. Beneath some photo's I'v shot during the show. It'a shame, most of the pictures include some strangers head.

Afterwards, my friends and I shot some photo's from eachother, and were even accompanied by two guys saying they were the creators of the waterbottle in the goodybag. 

We really enjoyed and we've made it our target to do this more often!

Amsterdam International Fashion Week

Tonight, I'm going to my first fashionshow, together with three friends of mine. The show was actually scheduled for january the 29th, but the date was moved to the 5th of february. The show is organised by Club Brilliant together with the Mode Alliance. During the show, designer Mattijs van Bergen will show two collections, combined with the new collection of glasses and sunnies of Sama Eyewear. The show is held at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, and is followed by the famous afterparty. I really can't wait.

Well not actually the outfit of this day, it's too cold to wear a skirt like this one.
I bought this skirt and shirt a while ago, but haven't showed them yet. I've bought the shoes yesterday, and I love them. Sorry for the bad quality, but somehow all the photo's were moved.

Best of H&M

It seems a bit like winter has only just started in the Netherlands. Such a shame, since all fashion brands are starting to show their spring collection. So while it's freezing outside, I went looking for great clothes for spring. And I couldn't resist on also showing a bit of swimwear. Special about the collage is, that all the items are H&M. That means a new wardrobe, for not that much money.

I bet a lot of people have commited themselves to good resolutions for 2012.

So are you a shopaholic who really wants to spend less money on clothing and is trying to save?

Or are drooling over designer items, but not able to pay for them?

Well look at the six items above. On the left, you can see the expensive ones from (designer) brands, while the rights ones are a lot cheaper. And really, how big are the differences?

So another good resolution, as long as we're not able to buy the expensive designer ones, we'll just buy some cheaper ones instead!
